Originally from Northampton, England, T.U.K. founder Ian White moved to the sandy shores of San Diego, California in 1990, where the brand was born a year later. Ian White, whose family had been making English shoes since the 1890s, brought with him the distinct British sensibility of the family business and found tremendous inspiration in the burgeoning punk rock scene of California. The result: a unique footwear brand that channels the roots of punk across continents.
